RadioMaster TX16S Hall Sensor Gimbals 16CH Multi-protocol OpenTX- Carbon Edition

The Radiomaster TX16S was created to address the need for a high-performance open source transmitter.

The radio master has a built in multiprotocol module supporting a lot of the most popular radio protocols and a JR expansion module bay supporting TBS Crossfire modules amongst others.

This Hall sensor Carbon Edition features a nice carbon look, comes with a foam case, a metal handle and neckstrap.

The value for money is incredible. A lot of functionallity for litte money.

  • Multi-Protocol: Futaba SFHSS, Spektrum DSM/DSMX, Walkera Devo, J6Pro, Frysky, Flysky, Hubsan, HiSky, Syma, Assan,…
  • Equipped with large color screen with touchscreen
  • Full size HALL sensor gimbals
  • Built-in USB-C charging port and multiprotocol transmitting module.
  • TBS Crossfire compatible (not included)
  • OpenTX software
  • USB-C charging & data/simulator ports
  • 2 X UART port for future updates and expansions
  • CNC Metal navigation button (wheel)

Needed to complete:

  • Batteries: 2 x LiIon cell 3.6V 3450mAh (NOT included)

! Highly Recommended !

Radiomaster Transmitters Frequency Tuning

Because of the multi-protocol module, you need to do a frequency tuning per model. Like that, the frequency will be optimised for the protocol that is used. It only takes 2-3 minutes and will prevent failsafe procedures from happening ‘too soon’ & improve the signal quality a lot. For receivers with telemetry: the value for the signal strength is called RSSI (received signal strength indicator , value 0-100 (100 is the maximum value))

For receivers with telemetry

1. Bind the receiver (remove all propellers for safety if necessary)

2. Go into Model Setup > RF Freq. Fine Tune > select this value

3. Scroll the wheel to the left, the fine tune value will now going negative. Do this until the receiver goes into FailSafe Mode (RSSI value : 0).

4. When FailSafe is reached, slowly scroll the wheel to the right until the receiver signal is back.

5. Write down the value/number where the signal got back. By example: -75

6. Do the exact same thing, but then by scrolling the wheel to the right, so you increase thevalue until FailSafe is reached (RSSI: 0) . Now scroll back left, until signal is back again.

7. Write down the value/number when the signal got back. (Probably a positive value now, by example 33)

8. Now add up those 2 values you wrote down. In this example: -75 + 33 = -42. The number you get now, you divide by 2, this gives: -42 / 2 = -21

9. That should be the number you put at ‘RF Freq Fine Tune’.

For receivers without telemetry (for example Futaba S-FHSS)

1. Bind the receiver (remove all propellers for safety if necessary)

2. Go into Model Setup and select RANGE (low power mode) .

3. Take a distance of minimum 30 m - 50 m

4. If you have no receiving or disturbances: go to point 5

5. Scroll the wheel to the left, the fine tune value will now going negative. Do this until the receiver goes into FailSafe Mode

6. When FailSafe is reached, slowly scroll the wheel to the right until the receiver signal is back.

7. Write down the value/number where the signal got back. By example: -75

8. Do the exact same thing, but then by scrolling the wheel to the right, so you increase thevalue until FailSafe is reached. Now scroll back left, until signal is back again.

9. Write down the value/number when the signal got back. (Probably a positive value now, by example 33)

10. Now add up those 2 values you wrote down. In this example: -75 + 33 = -42. The number you get now, you divide by 2, this gives: -42 / 2 = -21

11. That should be the number you put at ‘RF Freq Fine Tune’.

The found value can be used for all models/receivers using the same protocol, but when new protocol is used, do this proces again for that protocol/model.
